As of 1st June 2019, new Legislation has been introduced that only allows for the following payments to be made
Holding Deposit: 1 week’s rent which is calculated as £month’s rent x 12 ÷ 52 = 1 weeks’ rent. On completion this amount is deducted against what is owed
Deposit amount: 5 weeks rent which is calculated as £month x 12 ÷ 52 = 1 week weeks’ rent x 5
Payment of £50.00 plus VAT at the current rate if you want to change the tenancy agreement
Payment of interest for the late payment of rent at a rate of 3% per annum above the Bank of England declared base rate calculated on a daily basis on any rent in arrears
Payment of £30 plus the replacement key / security device cost plus VAT at the current rate for the reasonably incurred costs for the loss of keys / security devices
Payment of any unpaid rent or other reasonable costs associated with your early termination of the tenancy
Utilities – gas, electricity, water
Communications – telephone and broadband
Installation of cable/satellite and subscription to cable/satellite supplier subject to the Landlord agreement
Television licence
Council Tax
Any other permitted payments, not included above, under the relevant legislation including contractual damages and costs
